If you are friends with our friend Burger, then you have probably gone to Pizzeria Paradiso in Georgetown with him — and you have probably gone there with him multiple times. He goes so often that he is currently The Duke of “The Diso” on Yelp! Pretty awesome!
Dining at Pizzeria Paradiso starts with a scrumptious little dish of assorted olives. When it comes to the entree choices, Burger’s go-to meal is The Bosco (Tomato, Mushrooms, Spinach, Red Onion, Mozzarella) with pepperoni and no onions. I often get The Bosco as well, and ordered it this time with pepperoni and basil (instead of spinach). Always a great selection! Chris decided to try out the Quattro Formaggi (Pecorino, Fontina, Gorgonzola, Mozzarella, Parsley, Garlic), which tasted like very flavorful cheesy bread. Yum.
I love going to Pizzeria Paradiso for a Saturday lunch, and then shopping around Georgetown for a little while. On a nice day, it’s a great experience! The Diso has that relaxed, yet bustling atmosphere that makes it perfect for chilling with friends on a Saturday or hanging out with family when they’re visiting in town. The beer selection — though I’m not much of a beer fan — is apparently really great! Chris tried out the Founders Breakfast Stout, and thought it was pretty good. He said it sounded better on paper though (something about chocolate, coffee, and beer flavors all mixed together) than it actually tasted. I tried a little, and definitely was impressed with the strong coffee flavor! Burger and I each ordered Sparkling Lemonades. Yum!
Pizzeria Paradiso is always a solid choice. Though I’ve only been to the one in Georgetown, there are also locations in Dupont and Old Town. The place has been a favorite for us, and Chris & I will definitely keep coming back with Burger. In fact, I bet Burger has already been back since this occasion!
